AdvancedAg Soil Biology Conference is the perfect place to gain valuable knowledge on improving the health of your soil and plants.
The conference begins at 8:15 am on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 and goes till 3:45 pm.

Joshua Day Chief – Growing AdvancedAg 8:15 am – 8:45 am
Joshua Day Chief will be starting the conference with an Introduction to Growing AdvancedAg. He joined the AdvancedAg team in 2013 and works closely with dealers and suppliers to solve soil and water issues.
Dr. John Wong – Behind the Bacteria 9:00 am – 9:45 am
Dr. John Wong is the Chief Scientist at AdvancedAg. He has over thirty years of experience working with bacteria required for healthy soil conditions. Hear directly from the scientist who invented the product ACF-SR and how he focused on the “function” of how the five bacteria perform and how we need them in our western Canadian soils.
Dr. Bill Hamman – Turning Bugs into Buck$ 10:00 am – 10:45 am
Dr. Bill Hamman is the President of Hamman Ag Research Inc. and an independent researcher that has done trials in western Canadian cropping systems. With over 35 years of experience and research, little introduction is needed for Dr. Hamman in the Western Agriculture community.
Dr. Jody Filkowski – A Bug’s Life 11:00 am – 11:45 am
Dr. Jody Filkowski is a molecular biologist and has nearly twenty years of research experience and over twenty academic publications of peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters on plant and animal systems. Dr. Filkowski’s most recent position is at API Labs. She is responsible for managing the introduction and establishment of a novel, Pharmaceutical Crop, to Southern Alberta. Her lecture ties the three B’s together: bacteria, bugs, and biology through her talk on “A Bug’s Life.” Can you imagine how these little eyes see the big picture!
Joel Williams – Roots for Resilience 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Joel Williams is an independent educator on soil and plant health, focusing on providing seminars, workshops, and consultation on plant management. Joel is hitting the worldwide speaker circuit in 2021 with speaking engagements in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada. He previously lived in Saskatoon in February of 2020 and is familiar with the treatments needed for healthy soil in Western Canada. Scott Walker – Biologicals Around the World 1:45 pm – 2:30 pm
Scottie “Data” Walker is a researcher and owns DSW Consulting. He has forty years in the industry and has become an integral part of Canada’s agricultural development. He is currently on the board for the Fertilizers & Supplements Advisory Committee. He is passionate about the future of agriculture and the role of biologicals and biological stimulants, and it shows through his energetic presentation.
